Doyle Dunn is a retired U.S. Navy Captain and combat veteran who served over 30 years as a Navy Chaplain. He is also an ordained Christian minister with a lifetime of experience in pastoral ministry.
His service included assignments across the U.S. and around the world with U.S. Marine Corps forces and U.S. Navy commands. Prior to his transition out of military service in 2017, he spent the last 15 years in some of the most prominent senior leadership positions in the military. These included roles as Chief of Staff for a 2-Star Admiral in the Pentagon, Director of Human Resources and Training for the entire 2,000 member Chaplain Corps, and as the senior leader of Navy Fleet Religious Programs providing broad and direct oversight of over 100 teams supporting 100,000 sailors (plus their family members) within more than 400 units around the world.
Along with his expertise in spiritual care in highly diverse and pluralistic settings, he is a recognized expert in reducing destructive behaviors including suicide, sexual assault, and domestic violence and has repeatedly travelled across the western hemisphere training military leaders to effectively address these issues.
He completed graduate studies at the University of Texas in Dallas in Organizational Behavior/Executive Leadership Coaching, meeting the International Coach Federation standards. His prior education includes a BA in Religious Studies at Clear Creek Bible College, Master of Divinity at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Master of Theology (Ethics) at Princeton Theological Seminary.
